I attended Kingdom Life Christian Church today. It was a wonderful experience. This church was not chosen out of the blue. I've known about it for a few months. Initially I had listened to and watched some of the services at their website. Then I watched them occasionally on TV.
A few weeks ago I received a newspaper with a list of all the churches in the area where I live. I investigated all of them and widdled the list down to four. I had circled KLCC twice because I was already familiar with it. It didn't mean anything, really, at the time because I had no intention of leaving FPCH. It was more like thinking about winning the lottery and dreaming about what I hoped FPCH could be someday.
Then last Sunday the sermon occurred. And the following Thursday on my way to an appointment I passed right by the KLCC (the client lived only two blocks away). I'm not one to look for signs, but neither am I a big believer in coincidence. I think that is one of the ways we are led by the Holy Spirit.
KLCC is a very large church. It is diverse in cultural, generation, and gender. They have lots and lots of outreach programs and many social and community programs as well. Since I am up at 530am every day I like being able to go to church for an 830 service, too. I'm home before lunch. The music is a mix of contemporary and traditional. I bit too much singing, though, for my taste. I liked that the pastor preached right out of the bible. He didn't say anything that wasn't proven by scripture.
Still, I'm not sure that I will go back. Chances are good I will, but I can't say for sure where the Holy Spirit will lead me. I will go where He sends me because I need Him. If Jesus needed the Holy Spirit then I certainly do too, and so do you. Do you have the Holy Spirit with you?
Good night and God bless.

I think you should just start your own church up
Not until you can become my assistant pastor.
