Last Tuesday (July 24, 2007) with the encouragement of a friend I participated in a mini-triathlon. The event included Kayaking (.25-.33 miles), mountain biking (8 km), and trail running (5 km). I did not finish. After completing the mountain biking I was so beaten, bruised, and spent that I could go no further. It was a lot of fun, but I wholly unprepared for it. Even five days later I am still sore, but well enough to go back to the gym or go kayaking if the weather is good.
I prayed that God would give me more time for Bible study and he answered my prayer, but at the expensed of income. The work load this week was very light with only one or two calls a day. I did make quite a bit of progress through the scriptures, however, as I have twice been through all three Epistles of John and the Book of Jude as well. That is actually what I did this Sunday rather than visit a church is go through all for books. It took me 3 hours. I plan to go through them one more time before moving on. Though I still markup my paper bibles, I've also been keeping my notes at the online Bible portal called eBible (http://www.ebible.com). I've been waiting for a site like that and am happy one finally appeared.
There is more to say, but I just got a call that the weather is good enough for kayaking so I'm going to eat lunch and head out.
Take care my friends. May the mercy of the Lord shine on, around, and through you.
