The fitness thing is going well, but I'm progressing discouragingly slow. I can run a 1/2 mile to a mile on the treadmill with little to no pain, but once I get on pavement the pain makes me want to gnaw my leg off after 1/4 mile or so. I guess that will go away soon enough. I'm getting about 6.5 miles in 30 minutes on the bike now. I want to get that up to 7 - 7.5 miles in 30 minutes by the end of the month. That is only a 14-15 mph pace. Ultimately I want to get upto a 17 mph pace.
I'm going to Nerds To Go (NTG) HQ today after lunch. They tell me there have been a lot of changes since I've been away and they want to fill me in. If I remember to do so I'll write a comment to this post with the results of the meeting.
Oh, I saw my accountant yesterday to do my taxes and, thankfully, it doesnt look like I'll have to pay anything in. I may even get a refund of about $600. Joe's bill will probably be about $600 so in the end I will get nothing.
Take care . . . YIC . . . rad

dont forget you owe me $599.99
What a coincidence . . . that's exactly how much you owe me too.
so i guess were even then?
Please, tell us about your NTG meeting. Curious minds would like to know ;)
I met with the operations manager at NTG. I didn't really say much. He went over all the changes in the company since I started military duty on January 29th. There have been a lot of changes. The billing system has changed dramatically. The dispatch system has changed. One of the office staff was let go for constantly being late. There are 3 fewer nerds and Nerd Jonathan has just bought a franchise (he got an awesome franchise area that includes Trumbull); starting July 15th he will not be working for corporate anymore. Thus they are excited to get me back by July 15th. I'll check in at the office each of the next two Mondays to see what's going on.
Since there are no deployments on the horizon it looks like I'll be going back to NTG just after July 4th. The first two weeks I'm only going to work part-time, however, so I can get back up to speed. After that Jonathan will be working his franchise area and I'll have to work full-time again. I'm going to avoid 12 hour days though. Not taking any appointment after 5pm unless its an emergency. And I charge an extra $125 for emergency call-outs.
Des I think you were doing coke that night it says cold ;)
