What Keeps Us Going?

For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. —Philippians 1:21

What does this mean to you? To me this means that life is not worth living unless it involves God. Many people think that if they make enough money or have enough friends or become popular enough then they will have a happy life. Others think if they get married and have children and buy a home then they will be living the good life. But, if they don't know God, then they will still be empty. There will be something missing. God wants you to be his friend, but He is very particular who his friends are, just like you are very particular who your friends are. Are you the type of person God wants for a friend? If you are Gods friend and know Christ then you truely have life, and when you die you will gain so much more than you could ever have in life.

A wonderful joy is now flooding my heart,
Giving assurance that will not depart.
My Savior is living and reigning above;
Life has rich meaning because of His love. —Bosch
Those who are prepared to die are most prepared to live.
