Prediction regarding gun control, the government, and the media

I'm going out on the limb and making a prediction regarding gun control.

The president and his new attorney general are anti-gun, thats no secret. And with so few
republicans in congress there can be little opposition to any proposed anti-gun legislation.
Still, there will be some softening of the american people to make them more acceptable to what may
be heavy gun controls on the horizon.

My prediction is this. We start seeing more news reports on the TV and on radio regarding gun
related crime. This increased reporting will give the impression that gun crime is on the rise
when it may be remaining static or even declining. Because of increased reporting and the
misinformed impression that that causes the government will "acquiesce" to the will of the people
by passing some kind of gun ban.

I pray I am wrong, but not confident of that.
