FW: Politically Speaking

Politically I'm discouraged by both candidates and
both parties. I oppose returning to the days of the
1994 Federal Weapons Ban which Obama supports. And
recently McCain said he supports re-instituting the
draft which I strongly oppose. I like Obama's energy
plan better than McCain's. And though McCain has
more experience with foreign relations I am a bit
worried that he seems to be so dedicated to
unrealistic troop utilization.

I like to think, that one or both of these political
parties need to change their way of doing business or
they have to be replaced by another different party.
But we tried that when the "Independent Party" put
itself into the ring and lasted only a few years.
Starting a new party is a financially daunting task
that few dare undertake. I remain hopeful that, in
the end, the will of the people will be done. But
can think of no historical precedence that hope will
bear fruit.
