This is the Mio.
I stood there a long time deciding if I should go with what I know or if I should take a chance to save $50 dollars. I decided to save $50 and return it if I didn't like it. It was a good decision.
I like the Mio a bit more than the TomTom. For every instance where it lags behind the TomTom there is another time when it is superior. The most important thing about the Mio is that it has more accurate maps. The most frustrating thing about it is that it doesn't have an "address book" to store frequent destination. The Mio maps are softer and easier on the eyes. It does a better job of plotting routs with multiple destinations. It allows you to record specific routs and plot a destination with just GPS Coordinates (this is great for walking routs or for hiking). I wish it had a better variety of voices, but that is small potatoes next to the areas where it shines. I've not read the manual yet and have not figured out how to re-rout around a road block. That would be another important deficiency next to the TomTom (if it can't).
Got to get ready for work now. I wish i had more time as I've a lot more to talk about. Perhaps tonight. I hope to have an early day today as this is my military weekend.
Take care ... God be with you.
