Day Sixty - The home stretch

Hello folks. Pastor Terry reminded me I havnt updated my blog in a while. I'll be flying home on April 28th but will have a few more days of military duty and military leave when I get back.

I've had to sell my rifle because it is, apparently, an illegal weapon according to Connecticticut state law though legal down here in the south. We'll just chalk that up to divine intervention.

If you like to see some photos of my work area click here. I'll be uploading more pictures this weekend so please check there again on Monday. My chief wanted pictures of me working hard on the job so that's what I'll be uploading.

The weather has been absolutely perfect for about a week now. I sure wish I could send it north. I'm really hoping that by the time I get back winter will be moving onto spring.

My neighbor called last night to tell me that some rats have been living in the basement of our building. Their not too big, though, only about a foot long. I guess the landlord is working on that, but she wanted to give me a heads up.

I've been spending a lot of time in the gym since I've been here and am seeing some really good results. I'll never be on the cover of Muscle magazine, but I feel really good. I pray that I will be able to keep myself disciplined enough to visit the gym regularly when I return.

God is showing me a lot of different paths my life can take at the moment and I am praying that He will help me know the one He wants me to take. I'm tired of dead ends and bottomless pits.

Here is some scripture I read last night. It reminds us that we may avoid the wrath of God if listen to and obey our Father, God Almight. At the same time, God may remove his blessings if we favor that which is evil.

At one moment I might announce concerning a nation or kingdom that I will uproot, tear down, and destroy it. However, if that nation I have made an announcement about, turns from its evil, I will not bring the disaster I had planned. At another time I announce that I will build and plant a nation or a kingdom. However, if it does what is evil in My sight by not listening to My voice, I will not bring the good I had said I would do to it.
~Jeremiah 18:7-10
