It funny seeing this because the pastor mentioned it in church today. He said, "Because the theology is faulty doesn't mean its historical facts are faulty." I wrote it down so I wouldn't forget it.
I've not made up my mind what I think about this so I'll not make any further comment about it. However, how can you give credibility to this gnostic text without giving credibility to all of them. And some of the gnostic texts are known to be both historically and theologically faulty. I tried several times to view the newscast regarding the document, but each time my internet connection died then returned when I closed the video window. So, I'll call it divine intervention and not bother looking into it any further. Not right now anyway.
I know what my baptist friend would say. He would say that the bible as it exists today is the only word of God and that anything not included is heretical.
